In an interview that I held back in the days when I had the dreaded JOB. A young man walked into my office smoking, when I pointed this out to him that it wasn’t going to help him in this particular career. He looked at me and said it was my loss.
Later on I thought to myself did I just turn away the man that would have changed my company. His customer service would have been second to none I’m sure.
I often wonder what happened to him.

Hey Charles – I have it down on my list to write a post on “How To Get Any Job Interview”. It’s really not that hard because the competition (i.e. most other job applicants) are half asleep.

I’ve read Perry’s report you mentioned and it’s good, solid stuff.

Great to hear your business is booming.

Doesn’t surprise me that so few people actually read the requirements. My wife is in HR. The other day she was telling me about job applicants who took calls on their mobiles in the middle of an interview! Apparently it happens quite often.
