I am accomplished in editing and in writing legal and business letters, brochure and web content and advertising copy.

I was a lawyer in Brisbane for over 20 years and am now a visual artist and full time fine art student at the Queensland College of Art. A need to supplement my income is the driving force behind me contacting you.

Apart from a Bachelor and Masters of Law from the University of Queensland, I hold an Arts degree (majoring in journalism) (UQ) and a Fine art degree (Griffith University). I will commence post-graduate study in Fine Art in 2010.

From 1986 until 2005, I was a Partner and then a Consultant at MacGillivrays Solicitors in Brisbane. In the last ten years with that firm, apart from conducting legal matters, I also headed their client publications and media relations section. I have written:
• numerous client information bulletins on a wide range of topics,
• client seminars and seminars to deliver to the legal profession,
• articles for publication in the Law Society Journal and other industry publications,
• web content, and
• advertising copy.
I also undertook a successful plain English re-write of MacGillivray’s precedent bank.

In addition, I have written and edited copy for brochures for a building and architectural firm and an electrical engineering firm.
